Company Concept

A Fusion of High-Quality Swedish Homes
and Japanese Technical Excellence

For over 40 years, Sweden House has been building homes that seamlessly combine the enduring values of Swedish residential design with the structural resilience required for Japan’s diverse climate. Core elements, such as windows and wall panels, are manufactured at our factory in Sweden, which operates entirely on 100% renewable energy.

We use premium timber sourced from Sweden’s slow-growing and resilient forests. Nurtured in harsh natural environments, this wood offers exceptional stability and resistance to warping or cracking, ensuring long-lasting performance and beauty.
Combining Swedish craftsmanship—a tradition of pride and precision—with Japan's high construction standard and meticulous attention to detail, we create living spaces embodying the best Nordic and Japanese excellence.

Environmentally Conscious
Homebuilding

At Sweden House, we are dedicated to minimising environmental impact across the entire lifecycle of our homes, from production and everyday use to eventual decommissioning.
Our homes feature outstanding thermal insulation and airtightness construction, significantly lowering energy consumption for heating and cooling. This efficiency plays a vital role in reducing CO₂ emissions during daily living.

Furthermore, the high-quality timber we use continues to store carbon long after it has been harvested, effectively locking it away from the structure of the home. Building a Swedish house is like nurturing a small forest within a community, expressing the Nordic philosophy of living in harmony with nature.

The Sweden House Difference

The Appeal of Our Timber-Framed,
Triple-Glazed Windows

Ever since commencing our foundation in 1984,
we have remained passionately committed to the defining
feature of our homes: the windows.

Windows are a defining feature of every Sweden House. Our timber-framed, triple-glazed design delivers exceptional insulation, soundproofing, and durability—while bringing the natural warmth and beauty of wood into the living space.
Our reversible windows reflect the Nordic philosophy of universal design. With the convenience of cleaning the exterior pane from inside and the ability to adjust ventilation effortlessly, their true value becomes clear through everyday use. Each window is produced in our Swedish factory using sustainable timber and high-performance glass, under strict quality control. Combining functionality, comfort, and refined aesthetics, our windows reflect the harmony between advanced performance and nature-inspired living.

High Performance

Thermal Insulation Highly insulating timber frames combined with triple glazing limit the influence of external temperatures, maintaining a comfortable indoor environment throughout the year.
Sound Insulation Exceptional airtightness effectively blocks external noise and reduces sound leakage from within, ensuring tranquillity and consideration for neighbours.
Fire Resistance High-quality timber, grown slowly in Swedish forests and marked by dense annual rings formed over many years, offers excellent natural fire resistance.
Additional Features Outstanding watertightness and wind pressure resistance ensure reliable performance in diverse environmental conditions.

Functionality and Design

180-Degree
Reversible Window
This innovative design allows the exterior glass pane to be cleaned safely and easily from inside the room. This also enables highly efficient ventilation.
Aesthetic Design The natural warmth and beauty of wood harmonise perfectly with any interior style and surrounding landscape.

Award Winning Quality
Winner of the 2014 Good Design Award

Our mesh-free, fire-resistant, timber-framed triple-glazed window was awarded the prestigious Good Design Award in 2014, recognised for its refined appearance, outstanding performance and user-focused functionality.

Advanced Insulation and Airtightness
for Comfort and Durability

Insulation and Airtightness Assessed for Every Home

In 1999, Sweden House became a pioneer among Japanese house builders by introducing the "CQ+24 High-Performance Guarantee System".
For each home, to ensure a healthy and comfortable indoor environment, the Heat Loss Coefficient (Q-value) for thermal insulation and the Equivalent Air Leakage Area (C-value) for airtightness were calculated and measured. Certified performance results were provided to the homeowner upon completion of their property.
Since July 2013, well ahead of Japan’s revised Act on the Rational Use of Energy (2016 Standards), the U-value (Average Heat Transmission Coefficient of the Building Envelope) has also been included in the report, offering a more comprehensive performance assessment.

  • High-Performance Wall Panels

    High-Performance Wall Panels

External wall panels are precision-filled with 120 mm-thick glass wool insulation under strict quality control at our factory in Sweden. Uniform filling prevents gaps or sagging, ensuring consistent and reliable thermal performance.

  • Meticulous Airtight Construction

    Meticulous Airtight Construction

Airtight sealing is carefully applied to every detail, including less visible areas such as film joints and around electrical outlets. Each home undergoes airtightness testing, with certified performance data shared directly with the homeowner.

    Timber-Framed, Triple-Glazed Windows

Timber frames, naturally poor conductors of heat, are combined with argon-filled triple-glazing to minimise heat loss through the windows. This pairing helps maintain a stable and comfortable room temperature throughout the seasons.
